LDS Mission Tracker would like to share the exciting news that the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Provo, Utah has been newly expanded. Located adjacent to the existing MTC, the two new buildings will be for teaching and training purposes, and include no residence areas. The expansion was necessary to increase the classroom space for the quickly growing number of LDS missionaries entering the MTC, who need to fine-tune their languages and practice teaching before leaving for the mission field. Each of the new structures has six floors filled with classrooms, teaching practice rooms, computer labs and areas for meditation and study.

About the new Facility:

These striking buildings, with the Wasatch mountains reflected in their gleaming windows, have broad stairways to accommodate crowds rushing between classes, as well as elevators for those who may need them. The classrooms are spacious, with high ceilings and large windows, allowing natural light and beautiful mountain views to flood in. The soon-to-be-finished lobbies and main hallways will be lined with paintings depicting teaching scenes from the life of Jesus Christ. Designed with tranquility in mind, the unobtrusive decor is a monochromatic, updated classic style.

The landscaping and outdoor common areas are just as thoughtfully designed, with plenty of bench seating, impressive decorative elements and a circular water feature as a focal point. Grassy areas with shade trees soften the structural look of all the brick, stucco, concrete and glass, and tie the campus into the beautiful mountain setting.

We love our missionaries and are so excited for this new and updated facility to give them the best advantage. Keep watching our site as we also offer a new and updated re-styling of our LDS Mission Tracker, as well as some new products you are sure to love. (Coming Soon!)
